Hareline and Setting Runs
We are a small club and each member is expected to do their bit to help the club thrive. Each member is expected to set a minimum of two runs per year. If you are inexperienced or feel uncomfortable with this, please approach a member of the committee, who will help you team up with an experienced hasher to help you out. Please also check out our hints on how to set a run.
Hares are asked to get their run site details to the On Sec at least a week before the run date. Please also be precise in your description of the location.
Hares are needed (see hareline for available dates). Please see Tiger Lily urgently if you have not set a run this year.
Inappropriate Run Sites
Singapore Harriets is a registered society in Singapore (as required) and it is important that members observe the law and exercise good judgement in our runs. 30 or more runners can cause alarm to the public and we need to keep a low profile. Lion City Hash have a guidebook containing good suggestions on how to minimize our impact, we recommend you take a look.
Use of Lock Road Car Park (opposite Little Bali)
Please note that the Lock Road car park is now a private car park for Little Bali. On a recent Wednesday run (11 June 2008), the landlords of Little Bali told us they would not allow the beer wagon to remain in the car park, and they were insistent that the car park was for patrons only. Lock Road car park is therefore not allowed for hash use UNLESS you have the specific, prior permission of the landlord, Robin, who can be contacted at 9672-7356 or by email robin@littlebali.com .
Other Known Inappropriate Run Sites
- Arcadia Road
- Sunset Way
- Any HDB car park should be avoided. Consult with the committee if you are considering an HDB car park
