== Welcome to Singapore Hash House Harriets History Community == Singapore Hash House Harriets is a ladies' Hash House Harriers club in Singapore, formed in 1973. The idea behind this project is to 'crowd source' the history of the Harriets. In other words, we are trying to make it simple for anyone who wants to volunteer to write sections of the Harriets history. To contribute, all you need to do is: # Ask for a login. The webmaster of the Harriets web site will provide one on request. You need to send me a mail with: ## Your hash name. ## When you were a member of the Harriets. ## Your preferred login name (your Hash Name is suggested). # Understand how to edit in WIKI (optional). You can read to understand how to format text (if you want to). Otherwise, click edit at the top of any page and simply start typing - you don't have to worry about any formatting if you don't want to. Just type and leave an empty line to start each new paragraph. # Put your name and details in the Visitor Book. This is formatted as a table so is a little tricky, just type over the hints in the first unused section. # Click on any page and then click the edit link to start editing. # Save your changes (Save Page) when you are finished. When we feel we have a good history built up, we will finalize it and put it onto the web site proper, as well as considering putting it in book form. If any of the links below are red, it means nothing has been written yet. Please jump in and start writing! Regardless, we need a lot of help to fill in the history of the Harriets, particularly from the 1980's and 1990's. Genesis of the history project. Why we care. A magazine produced for the event, including some of the history, is at (screen resolution) or (high resolution for printing). Sneaky Comer may get back to building up some of the history as his enthusiasm returns :-) == Sections == This is a set of suggested sections for the history. This can be changed as we go if we find we wish to change things. # The Foundation of the Singapore Hash House Harriets # 1973 to 1980 # 1981 to 1990 # 1991 to 2000 # 2001 to 2010 # Characters # Committees since Founding # Individual Recollections and Stories # Love Hate with the Men's Hash # Love Hate with Men # Runs and Run Sites # Events # Technology # Sources # HHH History - Other Clubs == Visitor's Book == Please put your name, hash name, years you were involved with the Harriets, and any offices you held in the Visitor Book so we know who you are when you edit the wiki. Thanks. == A Note About Security == Unfortunately the world is not full of nice people and recently people have been aggressively creating bogus logins and trying to edit the wiki with spam. I don't have time to keep managing these assholes so I have disabled account creation. Spammers are not welcome here and the administrator will aggressively pursue any spam. To edit this wiki, you must: # Have a logon created for you by the webmaster (sorry this is not optimal but it is the only way to stop these annoying people). If you care about the Harriets you will know how to contact the webmaster.
